Two things in that table are worth stopping on. A four-ounce jump in spec, 12 to 16, moves the finished pair by about 180 g — a third of a pound, real but modest. And the two-pound pair does exist, at the top of the range, in 21 oz selvedge that most people will never own.
One discrepancy I have not resolved, which I would rather flag than smooth over: manufacturing consumption tables say a pair takes 1.4 to 1.6 metres of 60-inch denim, or 2.1 to 2.4 m² gross, against my mass-derived 1.35 m². Fully soaked, the ceiling comes from textile finishing practice.
